ASHTON WILKES X Raphael Bahindwa (SENIOR COLLECTION)This is a remarkable collaboration between myself, a Fine Artist specializing in abstract painting and originating from the Congo DRC, and Ashton Wilkes, a talented senior fashion design (now Alumni) at SCAD. Together, we merged our creative visions to produce a unique collection that embodies our respective artistic identities.The collaboration culminated in an extraordinary showcase at the SCAD 2022 fashion show held in Savannah.The collection, a true embodiment of our artistic fusion, captured the attention and admiration ofthe audience, industry professionals, and fashion enthusiasts alike.We were honored to have our work recognized by Vogue, as our collaboration was featured on their prestigious website. Thisrecognition affirmed the innovative and thought-provoking nature of our collaboration and showcased the impact of merging diverse artistic disciplines.The collection presented a captivating blend of fashion and art, reflecting the intersection of cultural identity, personal narratives, and creative expression.
