As part of the "Little Kings" series, this artwork aims to shed light on the harsh realities faced by children living in the Congo D.R.C and experiencing child labor. Each painting within the series tells a unique story, capturing the spirit and struggles of these young individuals.

The absence of a title invites viewers to engage with the artwork and connect with the emotions and narratives depicted.

With this series, my intention was keep a lot of the elements consistent but change parts of it to prevent it from being monotonous. For this one, on the right side of his face, intricate tattoos shaped like a Congolese mask add a layer of cultural symbolism, representing the rich heritage and identity that these children carry with them despite their circumstances.

Through this painting, Iaim to honor the experiences of the children affected by child labor in the Congo. By highlighting the boy's regal presence and incorporating elements of Congolese culture, the artwork serves as a visual representation oftheir resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit.
