BAZA BANA
BAZA BANA
"BAZA BANA" is the first artwork from the series titled "Little Kings" and serves as a poignant tribute to the plight of Congolese children living in child labor.
The focal point of the painting is a captivating portrait of a Congolese boy, his eyes filled with a sense of longing and vulnerability. Through this portraval, Iseek to draw attention to the harsh reality faced by many children in the Democratic Republic of Congo, who are forced into labor at a young age.
The title, "BAZA BANA," translates to "Help me" in Lingala, a language spoken in parts of Congo. It serves as a poignant plea from the young boy, urging viewers to acknowledge the challenges faced by children caught in the cycle of child labor.
The use of acrylic paints brings vibrancy and depth to the painting, capturing the emotions and essence of the young boy's struggle. The contrasting colors and brushstrokes evoke a sense of urgency and compassion, urging viewers to take notice and empathize with the circumstances these children endure.
